Blood Pressure Tracker Tool
Blood pressure has two numbers. Systolic (top) is the pressure when your heart beats; diastolic (bottom) is the pressure between beats. A normal BP for adults is below 120/80 mmHg. This free blood pressure tracker shows the American Heart Association category for each reading and keeps a private log on your device so you can share trends with your doctor.
| Category | Systolic | Diastolic | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | below 120 | and | below 80 |
| Elevated | 120-129 | and | below 80 |
| Stage 1 hypertension | 130-139 | or | 80-89 |
| Stage 2 hypertension | 140 or higher | or | 90 or higher |
| Severe - seek care | above 180 | and/or | above 120 |
How to Use the Tracker
Sit quietly for 5 minutes with your back supported and feet flat. Rest your arm at heart level and use a validated upper-arm cuff. Take two readings a minute apart, enter them with the date, and press Save Reading.
Reading Your Trend
Doctors usually look at the average of several home readings over a week rather than a single number. Bring your exported CSV or the chart to appointments.
